Today was the last lunch club but will be returning on the 9th September.
Lunch club proved to be a very eventful day today, due to being a bit short on staff some of our senior citizens gave a helping hand, dishing up, washing up and general tidying up. I must say they seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves, i saw a very different side to them today.
A day spent in Wendover woods was enjoyed by children and adults. Picnics, adventures and games. the children being creative and adventurous building camps. lots of teamwork was involved, problem solving ect. Games of hide and seek as well as football and a bit of tennis enjoyed by the children as well as the aldults.
Adults when not involved with the children were deep in conversation as well as just relaxing.
There was a strong sense of fun had by all. What a fantastic day.
For most of us its the start of the school holidays today.
